Settlement Conference Panelist Training
Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution provides facilitated Settlement Conferences for both District and Superior Court. We also have mediators qualified for the Western District of the U.S. District Court.
Cases are facilitated by attorneys who volunteer their time and who have been trained in Mediation practices at the Center. Their fields of expertise include Civil, Domestic and Probate/Guardianship issues.
Some of the benefits to becoming a volunteer Settlement Conference Panelist include the opportunity to serve the South Sound community, to network with attorneys, trainers and other Center mediation practitioners and to receive ongoing skills training in conflict resolution. Panelists also enjoy expedition of their own cases at the Center.
Settlement Conference Panel candidates must have a minimum of five years experience in the practice of law and be recommended by two of their peers in the legal community.
The Center provides CLEs in exchange for those who commit to serve on the Panel.
To register for our Settlement Conference Panel Training, please submit the completed application with two (2) letters of recommendation from peers in the legal community.
