In-Services
We hold a 2-hour monthly in-service for volunteer mediators. The in-services are a great place to connect with fellow mediators. It is also a confidential and supportive place to bring up specific cases or mediator concerns. Our in-services always include discussions, and sometimes include presenters, panels, and handouts. In-services are held at the Center in the Daisy M. Stallworth Community Room.
Inservices are free and only open to PCCDR volunteer mediators, interns, and Basic Mediation Training participants. Guests possible by request only.
We had a wonderful time in December at the Mediator Appreciation Party!
Examples of past topics include:
- "Reframing during the facilitated negotiation stage"
- "We Validate!" presented by Marty Hawkins
- "How is my glass half full? Evaluating our progress as mediators"
- "Resistance to face to face: when parties request shuttle" (1.5 CLE credits pending)
- The Intuitive Dimension of Mediating with Gail Ferguson
- Fishbowl for Advanced Critiques
- Mediating Parenting Plan Modifications
