About us

The Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution (PCCDR) is an independent non-profit 501(C)(3) mediation service provider and training center in downtown Tacoma, Washington.

We believe that collaboration and consensus building are better than zero-sum litigation as methods of resolving conflicts. This belief drives our commitment to making affordable mediation and settlement conference services available to our community. [Services]

We also provide reasonably priced mediation training to enable people to incorporate collaborative dispute resolution into their personal and professional lives. [Training]

Get started

If you aren't sure whether or not mediation is right for you, have questions about the process or fee structure, or just want to learn more about the Center, please take the time to read the rest of the site. Our services and FAQ pages are great places to start. [FAQ]

If you think we can help you resolve your conflict, you can begin the process by downloading, filling out, and returning the appropriate request form. [Forms]

If you can't find what you need or need more help, feel free to call or email. Our contact information is in the top right-hand corner of every page on our site.

Get involved

We maintain a small permanent staff, but all of our mediators are volunteers. We also need volunteer office staff. We are always interested in hearing from people who want to donate their time.

We also accept financial donations to help us to better serve low-income clients and expand our training and community outreach efforts. PCCDR is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, and all donations are tax deductible.

To find out more about volunteering or donating, call us! Our contact information is at the top of every page.
